Chilimania is held annually on the first Saturday after Labor Day in Edgerton, Wisconsin. It is home to the Wisconsin State Championship CASI-Sanctioned Chili Cook-Off, a traditional chili cooking contest, and a salsa contest. The event also features a 5K fun run and walk, live music all-day long, a Bloody Mary contest, and more!

Our mission is to promote the Edgerton business community, social responsibility, and to raise funds to support the education of our youth.

From humble beginnings …

Chilimania, a not-for-profit organization, started from a grand vision and began its first year with fewer than 20 cook-off participants. The event drew a loyal crowd that continued to grow year after year, as the festival consistently booked some of the Midwest’s best-known headlining bands on its Main Stage.

… To one of Edgerton’s favorite events!

Today, the group has given more than $120,000 back to the community during the past 26 years through annual spring scholarships to graduating Edgerton high school students, community donations, and many other Edgerton Student Clubs and Athletics.

Giving back to the community

Due to overwhelming attendance and support during its 25th anniversary celebration in 2014, Chilimania sponsored a total of six scholarships to graduating 2015 Edgerton High School seniors. This includes a “green” scholarship awarded to students with green environmental career ambitions.
